For the fifth time our traditional Highland Games took place in North Rhine-Westphalia under the patronage of the Clan MacKay Germany eV.
For the first time we were there our two friendly Scottish clans MacLaren Society Germany & Clan Mackenzie Society Germany. A tag for the whole Mackenzie Society Germany Family with bagpipe band, solo piper, real Scots, Scottish country dancing group and of course the famous Highland games with log throwing, stone throwing, tug of war, 100 yard race and much more. Many actors provided an entertaining colorful program.
Over 4,500 enthusiastic guests attended our 5th Highland Games this year.
All regional newspapers and WDR television reported extensively on this.
The event was a terrific success.

Location: TSV Berge in Hamm-Berge
For the fourth time the Hammer Highland Games took place in Hamm under the patronage of the Clan MacKay Germany. Venue of the games this time was the large sports facility of TSV Berge. A weekend for the whole family with bagpipe bands, solo pipers, a real Scottish troupe, Highland dancing groups and of course the famous Highland games with log throwing, stone throwing, tug of war and much more.
Musicians from Scotland, among others, provided an entertaining colorful programme.
Saturday evening played a well-known Scottish band -Sample Minds- hot rhythms that made you want to dance.

As every year, we had thousands of enthusiastic spectators.
